Do you have unclaimed property owed to you?

Each year, unclaimed or abandoned assets--cash, stocks, bonds, insurance benefits, and valuables--are turned over to Alabama Unclaimed Property. Alabama Treasury serves as custodian of these assets and makes every effort to return them to the rightful owner or their heirs.

Dear Citizens
In 2011 and again in 2015 I pledged to uphold the Constitution of Alabama and serve her citizens with integrity and accountability as State Treasurer.  Since 2011 I have proudly and humbly done just that.

In Treasury we are responsible for the cash management duties of receiving, depositing and investing all state funds, bond management, unclaimed property, two college savings programs and management of the state’s collateral pool for public funds deposits in the state’s banks.  We also play an essential role in managing the Alabama Trust Fund (ATF), Alabama’s $2.8 billion investment fund built from the proceeds of the sale of the state’s offshore natural gas reserves.

In Treasury, we constantly work to preserve and protect Alabama’s financial resources in all of these areas. Thank you for the opportunity to serve the people of Alabama.

Respectfully,

Young Boozer
